Game Frus Tray Shun
Dec. 9th, 2003 02:17 pmMy elder funagain.com order arrived pleasingly early this morning, with Carcassone: The Castle, King & Scout, Mystery Rummy #4, and San Marco all happily inside. I was quite looking forward to trying The Castle and perhaps MR #4 as well tonight. The anticipation has been growing, since FedEx lost the package for 3 days on the road (it was originally supposed to arrive Saturday).
Imagine my frustration when I opened up the Castle and found that it was missing 15 of the 60 playing tiles. Sigh.
I'm sure I'll get replacements from Rio Grande Games, but it'll probably be a week before K. & I get to try this game out now.
Edited to Add: On the bright side, RGG got back to me very promptly. On the down side, they don't have replacement pieces yet for the game, and don't expect them till next week. So, possibly we might have The Castle to play when I take a few days off around Christmas. Ah well. There will be a humongo pile of stuff arriving before then, including a couple of totally new, exciting games that I haven't played before.

I personally use Funagain.com because they're decently cheap, have a great web site, and are 2 days away via FedEx (when FedEx doesn't misplace the package). If you look in my previous journal entry, DougO also lists a number of other online stores, some of which are cheaper, and some of which are on the East Coast.
