Fax Cats (Fax Cats, What You Gonna Do?)
Nov. 13th, 2003 02:19 pmI've had a fax machine in my office for a number of months now. Since July or so. I installed it sometime after my trip to Seattle and then it took a number of weeks to get the fax numbers adjusted correctly. Very early on I figured out how to turn off the annoying ringing and connection buzzing, and since then it's just be sitting happily in place, quietly knocking out a fax or two every day.
It's only been the last week or so that the cats have discovered the fax machine. Both cats amazingly, Dumb Cat and Smart Cat alike.
Now, whenever a fax comes in, if a cat is anywhere nearby, she leaps up on the desk and stares at the fax machine, watching as the paper slowly emerges from the dark bowels of the machinery.
Good to know we have guardians against unexpected intrusions in this house.

Cat Fax Facts
Date: 2003-11-13 11:30 pm (UTC)It just took them awhile to get the correct number out to their feline friends. Now they're trying to intercept those embarassing responses to their kitty cat personals ads, before you see them.
(Some things a father just doesnt need to know.)
I guess you hadnt you heard? The fax has now usurped the back fence as a way for single young cats to meet. That built in copy machine feature allows you to photo copy your bum, and send it all over the neighborhood. (If you've a cat-sized bum, that is.) They'd use the internet, too, but they keep biting the tail off the mouse...
