NEWZ: Computer Hardware Spams Users

Belkin, a maker of network routers, came up with a bright new idea for their newest release. Their newest router, which is supposed to silently pass information from wireless computers to the Internet, randomly grabs some HTTP connections that pass through it, and reroutes them to a page that advertises other services you can buy from Belkin:

I've never heard of Belkin before, but at this point they've got enough name recognition from me to ensure that I'll never buy their products. Talk about frigging evil! It's like a TV set that randomly pops up RCA commercials during your favorite television show.
