Books Read: Shadow of the Hegemon
Aug. 14th, 2003 10:59 amJust to finally catch myself up on the "books I've read" department--sometime late last week I finished reading Shadow of the Hegemon the second book in the Ender's Shadow quatrain (of which 3 are currently out).
It was a good book that included Card's usual strengths of characterization, plotting, and introspection. It was a fair change from Ender's Shadow as it suddenly moved from a constrained stage to a global one, and as it suddenly stopped being Bean's story and started being the story of Bean, Petra, and Peter.
I enjoyed it, but not as much as Ender's Shadow. A worthy addition to the universe of Ender, but not anything particularly special on its own.
