This afternoon I found it somewhat remarkable to note that in the last three years or so I've honestly become a business man.

I use phrases like "fiduciary responsibility" in speech. I know how to value companies as a multiplier of gross income or profit, and know how different categories of company use different multipliers for gross income.

I've written a few different business plans, and have written one of those over almost half a dozen times as the company has evolved. I not only know the difference between accounts payable and accounts receivable, but can also do long-term planning which may or may not have any basis in reality (as is the case for all long-term plans).

My point? Generally none, I suppose. Except maybe the fact that for half-a-year or so I've been officially the "Vice President" over at Skotos, and in retrospective it's nice to know that's a real reflection of the skills that I've picked up since I began working there.
