So I spent the whole weekend on a draft of my final history article, Wizards of the Coast. I did do some other things Saturday and Sunday, during which I edited the history prior to 4E and added some new info on Chainmail. Then today I sat my butt down at my desk and did a full day of work on my "holiday". During which I completed the Wizards article, through quite a bit of detail on 4e, Essentials, DDI, and other stuff. My brain is now toast. I think I wrote somewhere around 10,000 words from Friday night to tonight, and the majority of that today.

Also, I finished processing all of the scans I'd gotten from EndGame last week, which had been delayed a bit Wednesday and Thursday nights when I processed scans I'd gotten from Chris' collection. I'm now up to 829 scans which I've got flagged as both important and good enough to use. I've still got some stuff to process that people have been kind enough to mail to me recently. After that, there are still a few publishers that are lighter than I'd like (Creations Unlimited, Necromancer Games, Pinnacle Entertainment, Troll Lord Games), but nothing that would be disastrous if i weren't able to fill it out more (and slowly, I am).

So that leaves me with: polishing several drafts and entered corrections into several articles; finishing up "What to Read Nexts" for most of the articles; and then writing some divider pages for the individual sections. It's a fair amount of work, but should be doable, as I've cancelled my gaming for next Saturday. I think I can even sneak out to Endgame Wednesday night.

Magnum opus?

It seems like this book is a never-ending effort!

I have a random, vaguely related question for you: a staff member in the local game shop asked someone else why there were no more big multicolor plushie Cthulhu's available (apparently whichever successor company that sells them sells only the small size in single colors, unlike the bigger ones in Hawaiian shirt prints and the like which used to be available).

Do you know anything about the history of the plushie Cthulhu's, and who made them and sells them? The staff member seemed to think that it was somebody's mother sewing them by hand in a basement somewhere....
