Swimming x2

Haven't had any more mosquito bites, and I think I know where I got the first ones. Down at Poipu Beach there's a bunch of standing water from a recent deluge--apparently because they're not allowed to drain storm water back into the ocean, so ... what do they do with it!? Let it sit and attract mosquitos. Good plan.
Well, my bites are mainly done itching, perhaps thanks in part to the anti-itch cream that Melody left when she was here a few weeks ago.
I of course noted the standing water (and avoided it) when Kimberly and I went back to Poipu this afternoon. I swam there for a while, mostly watching fish. Then we hiked up the shore to the Sheraton Beach and I swam there for a while, mainly riding waves. All, quite relaxing. And it was nice to stomp around our old stomping grounds from our first two trips to Hawaii. We did some reading aloud out at the beach too. White Night is going very quickly.
We were able to do some walking and reading off on our own because Mary had dropped us off, then picked us up when we were done. In the meantime they talked with prospective renters for their Maka house and it looks like came to a rental agreement, which is nice, since the house had been vacant for a month. So tomorrow I'm going to go out there with my dad (who is still dragging from a cold, in fact was worse today than previously) and help him load up stuff and hang some towel racks.
He suggested there may be swimming. I suspect otherwise, as I'm guessing he's going to be totally tuckered out after the Maka housing and I won't want to tire him out more by getting a ride to a beach.
So it goes in Hawaii.
