The History Book: Week #3

shannon_aA semi-productive week last week, I think because I was lazy/on-vacation at the start of it and somewhat busy with iPad releasedness at the end of it. In any case, I covered my 4 hours last week, but probably not a lot more than that.
The TSR article is done-ish. Current count is 22,774 words. I say "done-ish" because I've already got one note for re-re-revision on it and doubtless others will crop up over the course of the book. I'm going to probably do my re-re-visions as they come up, so I don't end up needing to spend another day on the book at some future time.
The New Infinities article is also done, and expanded a tiny bit from the last time. As with everything this time around, I added boxes and quotes. The new box is on Jefferson Swycaffer, whose 7 books (3 by New Infinities) I've read since last I was working on this book. Current count is 2,165 words.
I've started work on an entirely new article on Creations Unlimited. They're an entirely tiny company, that just put out 5 books in 1987, but it gives a good chance to focus on Rob Kuntz, one of the unsung heroes of the birth of RPGs.
This next week: I'm going to finish up the Creations Unlimited article. Then I'm going to sit down with my email archives and get all of my notes that I've collected on RPG companies over the last 3 years into the right files. After that I hope to get a bit more revision done. In my whole "circle around companies" idea for this revision of the book, I'll probably be hitting Judges' Guild next, as another strongly TSR-related company.
