Hawaii, Day the Fourth

Lawai. Went for a relatively early morning swim today, which is to say around 11am. I've continued getting up in the 7-7.30 range, but we never seem to get out of the house before 10 or 10.30.
In any case, Lawai is the beach on south side that has the best fish, so I'd wanted to see it at least once while here. The fish were indeed plentiful. I saw plenty of them and even played around with an underwater camera that Melody left here. I will have to see soon if any of those pics came out. There were a few picasso triggerfish (the Hawaii state fish), lots of butterfly fish, tangs, some of the neat black fish we saw last time, parrot fish, and lots of others.
I searched for sea turtles over by The Beachhouse, hoping to snap a pic for K., but no luck.
Relaxing. My main hope today was to relax, and that was mostly the case. After swimming and lunch we kicked back until the evening. I napped some, read some RuneQuest II and some Malazan. K. also napped.
Star Trek. After the very successful gifting and watching of Star Trek yesterday, my dad brought out Star Trek: Generations to watch tonight, and it was more OK than I remembered. One of the most interesting things I found was the different sense of humor of TOS and TNG, which seemed to be preserved remarkably well in the two parts of the script.
(I don't really like the TNG humor of that movie, though, which mostly involves Brent Spiner overacting.)
Given that I just finished watching Enterprise a day or two before we left for the trip (after working on it for, literally, years), it's been a bit of a Trek Renaissance lately. I think I've got to order the next New Frontiers book from the library soon. I'm not far from finishing that series either ...
And The Rest. The trip is rapidly coming to an end. There will be church tomorrow, my yearly visit. I want to try boogie boarding again, probably on Monday, though I don't expect to be much more successful than last time. Then it'll be back on planes. I've been jealously hoarding my remaining trade paperbacks for that trip, though they've been calling to me.
