A Busy Week

Yesterday I awoke to the chiming of my alarm. This is an oddity in itself, as I typically wake a minute or two before the alarm goes off, and thus am able to shut it off before it disturbs Kimberly. What's more an oddity is that fact that as I awoke to the chiming of that alarm--the alarm that I'd set the night before--my first thought was "What time is it!?". And then my second thought was "What day is it!?"

Clearly I've been working a bit hard lately.

My main push this week is for the Game Developers' Conference, or GDC. We're just launching a program at Skotos whereby we'll incorporate games produced by other publishers, as part of a non-exclusive deal. Clearly, this has relevence to folks at GDC who might have a game, but not be entirely sure about what's all required to get it out.

So, yesterday I spent vising and revising some documents describing our whole process.

And today I made sure our first two actually games, Meridian 59 and Underlight, were actually released.

And tomorrow I'm going down to GDC for part of the day to chat with folks.

And then after that, I get rest, blissful rest.

I very, very cleverly managed to also schedule the rollout of the new reviews system at RPGnet for this week. I wasn't really thinking about it because last week was when I released the new submission and search functions. However, that meant that this week those new submissions needed to be released to the web site, and that software wasn't quite done.

So, for example, on Monday I spent the day catching up on Skotos weekend mail and doing a bit of pushing on the associates, and then after dinner spent another four or so hours programming RPGnet.

Gah. No wonder I'm tired. And don't know what day it is. (Thursday.)

After tomorrow night, things should mellow out just a little bit, fortunately.
