Big Brother (and Reality Writing)

Reality TV game shows are one of my vices (along with McDonalds, Taco Bell, roleplaying, and the occasional licensed novel). However I only enjoy the reality game shows that have real gameplay in them, ones like Big Brother and Survivor and The Mole where people can plan good strategy*.
So a couple of weeks ago, when i was first trying to get out of my sickness-induced stupor, I took the folks at realitynewsonline.com** online up on a request they had out for writers for the new season of Big Brother. I should have sent a query first, but it was 2AM in the morning and I couldn't sleep, so I wrote what I intended to be the first article in a series on strategy in the game.
Here's the annoying thing: the dumbasses over at RNO never bothered to mail me back. I sent the article and then I sent two queries and there was only dead air in response.
I was pretty damned annoyed at that. Here they'd requested writers and then proceeded not to answer their email. Idiots.
But (said the fox) now that I'm starting to feel better I can concentrate on more useful things instead.
* I lie. I like The Amazing Race too, and although it's surely a competition, and a fun one, it doesn't have much strategy. And, when it does, the players inevitably fail to make good use of it.
** Be careful before you go to the site. It's got great content, but it's also the worst ad site that I view with any regularity, full of pop-unders, audio ads, and other obnoxiousness. Good 'ole Firefox doesn't even block all the crap.
