Anxious Dreams
Jan. 30th, 2003 09:05 amBleh. I had anxious dreams for the second (maybe third) night in a row.
This time around I was a scorekeeper for some swim event, except I'd never done it before, and I didn't really know how it worked. (Yeah, those buttons on stop watches, really complex).
It's all fragmentary ...
At some point during my scorekeeping, I decided to go ahead and take my turn, so I suddenly hopped in and swam, doing four laps of backstroke, and going really fast after I got my bearings about half way through the first lap. I got a great time.
But after that I was back to scorekeeping. Everything went pretty well until at one point when the other scorekeeper just took off (not very long after my own swim). I guess I'd been depending on him to really do the scorekeeping before, because after that I tried to average our watches on the next person's turn and we were off by like 60 seconds.
There was much hoopla after that, and I was getting all the blame, and it took me a while to realize, "Hey, he was the one that took off when I didn't really know what I was doing. He should be the one taking the blame ..."
And that was about when I woke up. Weird.
And since I'm up at 9am, I guess I'll run off to the gym and lift weights before I get started with the work day.
