shannon_aI've got a number of topics that I've been interested in writing about for a bit: the second season of Stargate SG-1, the push for immediate consumption in our country, the media downplaying of the antiwar sentiment in this country, etc. But, my net connection is annoying enough right now that I don't really feel like writing anything at length. Basically, I'm getting online in a tiny cave of an office that I'm borrowing, that too frequently has other people about, and my general desire is to put as little time in there as possible.
Today, however, promises to be a long day. I need to do a lot of finishing work for a game I'm integrating with, and I also have an article to write for tomorrow on web games. And that's to say nothing of email that's getting further and further behind. Sigh. My current goal is to get out of here by 8.30 or 9.00, but perhaps I'll get lucky, as the office has been otherwise empty thus far.
Last night I managed to do a little bit more writing about Gloranthan elf myth. "The Browing of the Aldryami" came in at about 650 words and was another step forward, which is nice.
And, finally, on the topic of that DSL Held Hostage, though our activation date is tomorrow, we have yet to receive a modem to use. I'm hoping it'll come with the US mail today, but we'll see. No tracking number has been forthcoming from DSLExtreme, though they claim it went out on Friday and should arrive in a few days.
