I just finished watching episode 1.10 of the new Doctor Who. It ends on a beautiful scene of the Doctor cutting loose and showing his dancing moves in the control room of the TARDIS.
It was really nice, but it also helped to underline how much the show changed after its 15-year hiatus. That was a scene that never could have appeared in the original show, because the doctor was too aloof and the show was too much about science-fiction and too little about humanity.
I was somewhat sad when the show went away way back in 1989, but given a metamorphosis that probably would not have been possible if it had stayed on the air, it's well worth while.
