I don't think I ever wrote that I did indeed finish up and send off my Aldryami chapter for the upcoming The World of Glorantha book a week and a half ago. I did simple edits over that weekend and got it off at a very reasonable time on that Sunday. It was the day of the deadline, yes, but it didn't feel last minute at all because I'd actually done a good job of getting it done bit-by-bit in the weeks beforehand.

That was my big writing project for April and it's totally out of my hair now.

I've got two large writing projects that I'd like to finish up before the end of May.

The first is the script for Lovecraft Country #2. This has been bedeviling me for many months, since we first decided to continue the comic. It's been really hard to write primarily because I never intended the comic to go past that first issue. Thus I was left somewhat adrift, unsure of where to go next, and not entirely comfortable continuing the writing style that I'd laid out for that first issue.

Flailing about didn't matter a huge amount for a long time because we didn't have an artist to draw the comic anyway.

Well, last week I came to an agreement for a new artist, and today I finished off the first draft of the script for LC #2. I'm still not 100% comfortable with the storytelling style, but I do think it's a good piece. It's a very nice homage to R.W. Chambers, I think.

I'm going to redraft the story later this week or early next, then I'm going to send it off to LC staff for comments, then I'm going to nail down a final version and send it to an artist before the end of the month. Woohoo.

My other writing project for May is an article on Bruno Faidutti. It's just 2000 words, but they're 2000 words that will take more research and polish than a lot of what I do.

(Of course I have scattered around my desk The King in Yellow, Miskatonic University, The Compact Arkham Unveiled, The Hastur Cycle, and Encyclopedia Cthulhiana from my recent work on LC #2, so maybe it's just a different sort of research.)

In any case, I hope to make good progress on that article later this week and weekend, though we'll see if I get dragged off to World Horror Con to flog Skotos or not ...

Congratulations on getting the Aldryami work completed. It sounds like a big job well done.

You have any need for proofreading on the script? (I read one of your other comics online and noticed a few things.)
