Yesterday, I wrote.
Now, that's necessarily that big of a deal in and of itself. I mean, as you can see I have no writer's block when I write here. And right now I'm writing a ~2,000 word game design column and a ~2,000 word board game review weekly.
But since last March or so my writing's ultimately all been about work. Skotos.
Yesterday I instead sat down and wrote ~1,200 words on the mythology of the elves in Glorantha. (It was the myth of the first snow, which needs to be revised to better make one of my points, but is a good first draft.)
It's really good to be doing some pleasure, creative writing beyond the strictures of what I do for my online game company. My current goal is ~2,000 words of Glorantha writing a week, which should give me a couple of books by the end of the year.
Knocking something out last night felt like a very good start.
