Got home today at 8.30pm, and have since cuddled with Kimberly, watched a Big Brother, watched a Daily Show, and examined all of my games.
I was very humored to get home and find a pile of review copies that had arrived while I was gone. Alexander the Great, Australian Rails, and a card game from Mayfair, and a baseball game from Out of the Box. I guess they must have been air freighting in copies for the con and sent out review copies before they left.
The flight back home was relatively calm. I read through the three volumes of the Arisa comic I was given as a review copy at the last day of the con. Trades are perfect airplane reading for me and I was pleased to have them. The comic is alternatively violent and sexy, all set in a deeply detailed fantasy realm. I'm going to be reviewing it volume by volume over the weeks to come, though I think I may need to reread it as I do, since it's very dense and I felt like I wasn't getting everything as I read (on the plane).
In Atlanta we were delayed about 30 minutes (again!) and ended up getting into SFO about that late. Half of the delay was due to a late stewardess. After the pilot had told us we were ready to go, we then sat for 15 minutes before the stewardess *ran* in. Seconds later the airplane started pushing back, then the pilot came on, apologized for the delay, and explained that it was because they'd been rebalancing luggage in the cargo bay.
So, whenever your pilot tells you they're rebalancing luggage, that's a dirty lie.
Anyway, tomorrow and Wednesday are work, then I'm taking the rest of the week off.
