Much Happening
Jun. 21st, 2012 11:18 pmMuch happening this week, but little writing. I blame the ease of writing on Facebook combined with the other web work I've been doing.
- I continue to convert articles for Mechanics & Meeples, my "new" board game blog. I've also got tons of things I'm suddenly thinking about writing, now that I'm actually blogging about board games again. I'm trying to convert no less than 1 file a day (because there's such an enormous amount of material that that'll probably take a year) and no more than 2 (as I don't want to burn out the folks already subscribing to the blog). I bet I fall off the whole 1-a-day soon ...
- Sunday, Kimberly and I went up to Tilden. We had a very pleasant walk from the North of the park past Lake Anza to the middle or so of the park. It's pretty much the two extremes for where we can get off and on a bus (on a Sunday), but it's also a really pleasant walk along creeks almost the whole way. As I told her, I'd like to explore the park more, but when we only make it up there once a year, that's a walk I really enjoy.
- I made one more trip up the Lake Temescal on Tuesday. Not convinced the ride is getting easier. (Maybe ...) However on my free Saturday (in 2 days) I'm planning to go up there and then to try and get to a canyon area that's up in that range. We'll see ... Maybe a ride to find some new Bay Trail out by Alameda too.
- There has been work and boardgaming too, of course!
- Oh, and I got a new little thingamabob that allows me to upload my biking stats to my computer. It's really for folks who are training and such, but I think being able to keep records of my trips will encourage me to constantly better myself rather than to just fall into routine cycling.
