Huh. Still seem to be writing.

Last week after I sent the history book to my publisher, he sent it around to industry folks for a last chance to comment. As a result, I updated articles for Green Ronin, AEG, and others based on that feedback. And, since I still had control of the files, I did some other updates based on stuff I chanced across: an article about Battlesystem, an article about Alternity, an interview with the V&V folks, and Nobilis 3e making it to PDF.

There were also folks who thought their company should be in the book. I considered several options, and this week ended up writing a mini-history on Hekaforge Productions. They'd already gotten a paragraph or two in the Troll Lord Games article and I expanded that out to about 1000 words. Altogether a nice addition, I think, because it better connects up Gary Gygax's work with GDW before and his work with Troll Lord afterward.

I've also decided to write one complete new article to better string together a lot of the indie discussion and game design discussion in the book, but I'll write about that next weekend (when I write it). It'll be major article #60, which is a nice number for the book. (And with Hekaforge, there are now also 25 mini-histories, for 85 companies total covered in somewhat comprehensive manners.)

Though I have been working on the book, it's been more mellow. I've had time for other things and even relaxed some. Even updated my AP thread for Kingmaker (just before I ran the newest game). I plan to do more of that sort of thing this next week, including writing a board game review and article--all of which I've been lax on lately.

Still looking forward to having the history book totally out of my hair.
