A Week(+) Later
Feb. 6th, 2011 11:24 pmHaven't really written here since we got by from Hawaii, and that's mainly because I ended up feeling down for about a week afterward. No particular reason for it. I did have some work stressors that have improved, and I do hear there's such a thing as post-vacation blues.
Wednesday I went out to EndGame for the first time in three weeks and I quite enjoyed myself. That started off with two games of Race for the Galaxy, which my friend Eric V. kicked ass at (as he often does) and then moved onto ... something else that was apparently less memorable. In any case, I arrived home feeling cheered, and have felt gradually better since.
Saturday was the first of a pair of beautiful days. I loved the bike ride to and back from Endgame because it was sunny and warm. I wore my new Hawaiian shirt that my dad & Mary got me for Christmas and enjoyed the air and the heat. We also actually got started with our Dresden Files game. I am increasingly impressed by how well the game models the books, and I'm really glad that the books are increasingly available in my brainspace, thanks to Kimberly and I reading them aloud.
Today was another beautiful day ... in fact, almost too hot. Kimberly and I went out to the dog park, and it was just packed with dogs (and their humans). We enjoyed watching them for a while, including many different dogs which all jumped for water that was being squirted out of a hose. I don't remember seeing it before at the park (though I've seen it elsewhere), then there were at least three different dogs doing that today. Weird.
Also got some good writing and scanning in the for history book, whose schedule looks to be quite strong, but I'll write about that more in another post. I am, however, spending most of my free writing time on the book right now, and I need to shake a little free for some other things (reviews, the Pathfinder AP).
Feeling good going into the new week ...
