The History Book Weeks #45 & #46
Jan. 30th, 2011 11:37 pmI edited the history of R. Talsorian on the way to Hawaii and finished that up while in Hawaii, during stolen moments when everyone else in the house was asleep. It took a fair amount of work, as I had some notable comments from Mike & Lisa Pondsmith and needed to talk about Cyberpunk v3.
I edited the history of Kenzer & Company on the way back, then did the first half of the Sovereign Press (now Margaret Weis Productions). I finished them both this weekend. Kenzer & Company needed some expansion of their 3e era, then some discussion of their push into a new RPG system. Sovereign Press needed two major sections added to the end, talking about Cortex and Cortex Plus, since they were just pushing on that and getting out of Dragonlance when I last wrote.
I've also just about got all the pictures that have been sent to me organized. Just short of 400 total, but I probably need that much again.
With a month to go, the real question is probably what I have left. That's: White Wolf (largely done), Wizards of the Coast (partly done), and a few that I haven't touched yet during this last year's editing: Palladium, Pinnacle. Also some comments still to be integrated into various pieces, most notably Creations Unlimited & my 3 new articles from January. Afterward I'll have to write some dividers that I've been planning.
That all sounds like a bit more work than the average week over the last 10.5 months, but not a horrible amount. I'm glad I took advantage of the plane trips to (mostly) get two articles out of the way, however.
Oh, and I reorganized my table of contents to make it easy to see how many articles I have total. The answer is apparently 58, which is 6 companies over what my previous edition of the book would have had. They are: Bard Games, Creations Unlimited, Hogshead Publishing, Evil Hat Productions, Cubicle 7 Entertainment, and Catalyst Game Labs.
