Cats & Magazines
Dec. 11th, 2007 08:47 pmJust got the OK to write my next two Knucklebones magazine, with a due date right after Christmas. Fortunately, they were well on their way before things got temporarily cut off. I mainly found it ironic, because I just wrote yesterday that I had no more writing to do.
Had the diabetic cat delivered to us tonight. My dad seemed very concerned and unhappy about leaving her, but I hope he knows she's in good hands. I gave her my first insulin shot this evening. The shooting wasn't bad, but was nerve-wracking. The hardest part was actually getting a good chunk of skin to shoot under without hitting the muscles. I think it might have been more difficult than it will be because she's tense.
Right now she's hiding under a chair in my office, and hasn't eaten since she got here, which is a little nerve-wracking in itself because of the self-same diabetes issues. When she eats I'll feel a lot better about it all.
Hopefully she'll calm down a bit, and the rest of her week here will be less tense.
Demoed the card game today. It's apparently a pretty tough market to print card games right now, with the Euro climbing, Chinese factories not quite up to spec for card printing, and card game prices dropping in Germany.
We'll find out if there's any ability to move forward sometime this month.
