Yeah, he's getting ready to spend hundreds of billion dollars on an unjustified war. And, yeah, he's getting ready to push more tax cuts for the rich while the budget deficit and national depression really dig in their heels. But, it's OK because the economy is in recovery.
Or so says "President" Bush.
Of course at the same time he's just cut all budgetting for a labor department program that reports on mass layoffs. After all, if no one is reporting this information, it can't be pushed in Bush's face as yet another example of what his fucked up economics are doing to the country.
It's the same old tune as Bush's firing of his top economic advisors late in 2002; if he doesn't like the hard truths they're telling about the economy, he'll get rid of them until he finds some yes-men to spout his rhetoric. Call it "The Big Brother Coda" if you like.
We'll be hearing it again.
