Good Games; Good Night
Jun. 15th, 2005 11:55 pmWent to EndGame tonight, and played a pair of games with Eric V., Alex, and Mike.
The first was Shadows Over Camelot, a new Days of Wonder game that I've been lusting after for awhile. It was every bit as fun as I expected, and playing it today didn't spoil the excitement of my review copy arriving tomorrow at all. A cooperative game with a subterfuge element, all beautifully themed in Arthuriana. Tons of fun.
The second was Santiago, a new Z-Man game that I've been lusting after since it was produced in Germany last year. It was a lot more dry and analytical than I hoped, but I still think it's a good game. This was my review copy, though I'll need to actually bring it out to a review night before I review it.
Two new games that I'd been quite excited about, so it was a good night!
And Jay came by and installed the pot rack while I was gone! Now I feel the need to do something else that's been sitting around for the five years since we moved into this house. I'll have to see what my options are this weekend.
