Pretty Graphic; No Words

The picture at right is what I was doing some evening late last week and then some evening during the weekend when I should have been working on the elf book. It's a good graphic, granted, with just the right mix of theology and nice imagery, and I wouldn't be surprised if it some version of it ends up in print in that same elf book. But, geez, I had better things to do.The problem is that early last week I mailed Greg a status report on the book. I told him I was still gearing to have it done by the end of the month, but that in all honesty I expected it to lag by between a week and a month. His response was "Great!!" and that's pretty understandable given how long this HeroQuest book has been in some form of development. But, it totally killed my momentum because one month late was no longer unfortunate but necessary, but instead great!!
So, I'm going to spend a bit of time on it tonight, just to get those gears moving again, then some more tomorrow. And so on. And hopefully that means I'll have a pretty good chunk of what's left done by the end of the month and I will really finish things up by the end of May as promised.
There's fortunately still a lot of April left.
Edit: Alright, after spending an hour tonight, I now have some words. I need to include about 5000 words of "filler" in the project. These are items that can be used in boxes, to help paginate the book right, or else will appear on the web site. So, I decided that this would be a good place to get me back into the project. I wrote two of the boxes, one on mimics (broad-leafed evergreen, which are green elves that look brown; and confirous deciduous trees, which are brown elves that look green); and one on the heroes of the Aldryami (which I'd figured out while writing the forests, mainly). Total count, 900 words. Of course, I'm going to need to start figuring out some of the other boxes that I should write since I just used up two of them.
