This is the part of the year when I roundly curse Benjamin Franklin because he had the asinine idea for Daylight Savings Time. As is usual this time of year I haven't been getting enough sleep and I've been regularly tired. There's no reason for it.

Well, there are reasons for it. Us folks who live a bit closer to the poles than you, like that it stays light later in the day during the summer; gives us more time to enjoy the days after work.

Well, no reason for it where I live. I'd have no objection with DST in those states/countries/provinces where it makes sense.

try living in Maine where we should be on Atlantic time like Atlantic Canada--but aren't, so in the peak of summer, it is pitch dark by 8:30p.
