NEWZ: Criminal Alabama Judge Removed!

I was very pleased to read today that the criminal Chief Justice of Alabama has been removed from office:

Alabama Judge Learns, "Thou Shalt Not Disobey"

This is the chief justice who refused to obey the court order that demanded he remove his 10 commandments monument from the state courthouse.

However he felt about violating the separation of church and state, the fact that he, as chief justice, refused to obey a court order is just flabbergasting. Talk about not understanding your job.

This idiot has now said he will make an announcement next week which "could alter the course of this country". Want to bet he's going to announce championship of a divisive constitutional ammendment which violates the basic precepts of our founding fathers and attempts to turn this country into the type of oppressive religious society that the first immigrants to the United States were trying to escape?

We'll see next week.

Maybe he'll run for President as an independent and siphon off Bush's fundamentalist voter base!

Unfortunately, as I heard pointed out in NPR, there's nothing that prevents the judge from re-running and getting re-elected. :-(

But, it's good in principle that he got booted.
