The Tuxedo Mouser

shannon_aWell, I saw something I never thought I would this afternoon. Munchkin caught a mouse!
Kimberly & I were upstairs, shopping online for mock strawberry seeds (surprisingly, harder than you'd think). And we heard Munchkin start yowling downstairs. I was pretty sure that it was her I-have-a-hairball yowl. And sure enough, when I caught closer I saw something hanging out of her mouth.
"Poor Kitty," I thought, as I kneeled down text to her.
Which is when I saw the teeny little head, the beady eyes, and rubbery tail, all hanging from her jaws. I jumped and yelled.
A minute later when I yelled upstairs to Kimberly that Munchkin had killed a mouse, she yelled back down, "Munchkin!" At which point Munchkin dropped the dead mouse on the ground, it laid there for a moment, and then started running around.
More jumping and yelling.
I finally captured the poor, terrified thing in a cup, and carried it outside where it was deposited amongst the foliage. I probably should have carried it up to a park. It scampered under a bit of cover and then froze. Hopefully the poor thing didn't have a delayed heart attack once its adrenaline level dropped.
