A Bit Frazzled
Aug. 30th, 2011 12:13 amI've been feeling a bit frazzled in the evenings lately, as I've been finishing up with work, eating, then heading back to do other work. It's a familiar pattern. But, I finished up some stuff today!
First up, I completed a first draft of a history of "Open Design", which will be my 61st long-form RPG history and the first to appear in my new RPGnet series, "Designers & Dragons: The Column". I just sent it out for comment. I wasn't planning to do any long-form history, but Wolfgang Baur did so many interviews and wrote so much in various places online that the facts for the article just fell together.
Second up, I put together six (!) boxes of RPG books and Lovecraft books for an eBay seller who's taking it on consigment. I sold some other books to him directly last year, so I feel good about doing business with him. On the one hand, it should be a nice chunk of change when it starts to sell, but on the other hand, it's 2 feet of RPG space freed up, plus a similar amount of book space. Of course, It was only about 20% of a shelf that I have dedicated entirely to stuff to get rid of, most of which won't be as saleable as what I'm sending off (which is a near-complete collection of books for ICE's MERP).
I still need to put together a review tomorrow and finish up my AP for the Kingmaker game I ran 2+ weeks ago, but I'm feeling a bit of the pressure off, now that I have two projects done for now. (Still pending for these projects: actual mailing of boxes and correction of Open Design first draft, but the one should resolve quickly and the other shouldn't be an issue until the weekend.)
