And Lo! There Shall Come a Garage!
Dec. 14th, 2010 10:38 pmFriday, builders scurried around doing mostly invisible work--but in the process filled in the rest of the foundation, connecting up the remaining masonry wall in the back of our garage with the new, amazingly professional, cement wall at the front of the garage.
Monday, builders returned and did much more impressively visible work. They framed the whole garage, got the first-cut of the side wall in and got about half of the roof restructured. Knowing how piss-ass raggedy this garage was when we moved into the house, I'm amazed at how much sturdier and more professional the new work looks.

Makes me wish we had a bazillion dollars to rework a lot of the other raggedy stuff that had accumulated in this house from 100 years of being in Berkeley.
In any case, it rained today, and tomorrow I expect builders will be back.
