Lies and the UPS That Tells Them

It was a report from UPS on the status of a package that should have been delivered on Friday.
Why does this irritate me? Two reasons:
All I can figure is that UPS decided not to deliver to business-looking addreses last Friday. However, the thing that really pisses me off, is that they blatantly lied about it, presumably because they thought they could get away with it.
Someone at the local office should be fired for blatant dishonesty to their customers. I'd be even angrier if it was actually something I needed last Friday (which it was not).
(Why do I bring this up today? Because UPS apparently missed their regular delivery time of about 12-2pm today, as if they had a huge batch of stuff to deliver. I can't imagine why that'd be the case. As a result I'm going to end up getting my package four days after their quoted delivery date.)

- At 6.22am, there's no way they were trying to deliver a package yet.
- The address that the package should have been delivered to would have been open in any case because, get this, it's a UPS store. They were open their regular hours of 8-6 last Friday.
