Cats, RPGnet, Writing
Jun. 12th, 2007 11:22 pmWell, it was a very busy weekend. RPGnet killed itself on Thursday night, and it didn't come back until Saturday afternoon. Pretty much all the work had to be done at by our colo techs, since it's a rented machine, but I still had to remain vigilant for two days, which was tiring.
Kimberly & I also went out to see kittens on Saturday at a local mobile rescue thing. They had three full grown cats and three kittens, and Kimberly wasn't struck by any of them, so we decided to give it another week.
So, we'll go back this coming Saturday and see if we have better luck, but me, I'm worried about whether other people will adopt those poor kittens that Kimberly thought weren't cute enough.
I've been writing, writing, writing. I got another 5 histories written this week, one each on Friday through Tuesday, which was my plan: Necromancer (Friday), Mayfair (Saturday), AEG (Sunday), Kenzer (Monday), and Grey Ghost (Tuesday). That leaves me with just 10 left, which is a lot more manageable than the 19 I had two weeks ago.
Though I'm exhausted.
With two and a half more weekends in June I should be able to finish drafts of everything by the end of the month like I wanted.
This weekend, I want to write two things through the weekend, but also do one more update of my TSR document, which will then culminate in a final draft the weekend thereafter, which will go of to my editor as the first delivery.
Tomorrow I game. Right now Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Saturday afternoon are the only relaxation I'm getting, but I've been steadfastly not cutting into these game periods, because I'd just write through them if I did.
This is all on top of my regular work at Skotos, of course.
