Worn Out Weekend
May. 21st, 2006 10:11 pmI've been surprisingly worn out this weekend. I think I never recovered from a 6+ hour game of World of Warcraft: The Boardgame which we played yesterday. I got in at about 9pm on Saturday, which is quite late for my RPG group gaming, and then stared at my computer screen a few times before bed, too tired to write.
Today I napped on the sofa downstairs for a bit this afternoon, which may well kill my chances of going to bed on time tonight. I was still worn out.
Nonetheless, I got a bit of writing done today. Most importantly, I finished a complete draft of my Bruno Faidutti article for Knucklebones. I'd requested quotes from Bruno on a variety of subjects and thentoday I rewrote & revised bits of my partial draft as I interpolated the Faidutti quotes. I actually felt like I knew what I was doing, preparing a slightly different sort of article for publication in a real magazine! Yeah.
After any comments from Faidutti and a final polish, I can send that baby off to Knucklebones, which will be the first complete article I've sent them. Yeah again.
I also did a bit of work on my history of gaming article (sections on 3M, Alex Randolph and Sid Sackson), mainly because I don't want to lose track of the piece, and wrote up the two Nurnberg games that I've played thus far, for publication in some far future Gone Gaming.
I have two complete Gone Gaming articles that I want to work on, one on Fantasy Flight's adventure games, and one on Blue Moon strategy, but I haven't quite been able to get to them yet. Maybe later tonight, maybe tomorrow night.
