Had fun at EndGame tonight. Played Tower of Babel, Ra, and Vino. Even bought a copy of Tower of Babel too, thanks to the simple sale of some duplicate LARP books I had. (Just a mention on a mailing list, and no eBay required!)

There was a moment of humor as well tonight. There were no less than two playtests going on this evening. I mostly ignored them so as not to spoil my enjoyment. But Bob was looking around while we were between games. I said that there were two playtest games, and he said, "I see three".

I looked around and spotted what he had misidentified as a third playtest. It was a game of Steve Jackson's Strange Synergy. Yup, that's the quality of SJG gaming components--laser printer and cardstock level.

Actually, the sad thing was that the components for the two playtests looked better.

It's midweek, so it's more gaming stuff I've written.

Gone Gaming: Redesigning Empire Builder, Part Two.. The conclusion of my look at Mayfair's classic railroad game.

RPGnet Reviews: Elasund: The First City. Klaus Teuber's new Catan game isn't that Catan-ish.

RPGnet Reviews: Havoc: The Hundred Years' War. A neat Poker-derived strategy game.

RPGnet Reviews: A Company of Knights. Some painted miniatures for your Shadows over Camelot game.
