Today was session #4 of my Stormbringer campaign. I overprepared again, having two or three weeks worth of adventure ready and only getting through the first part of that. Which is fine by me, and definitely better than the alternative. I've been trying to keep my preparation each week an hour or less, and so the overprep is a fairly minimal cost.

The adventure was a little slow this week, because the players basically came into ownership of a failing bar and then spent the entire day figuring out how to turn it around. I'd say that I've never before seen quite that much time spread-sheeting over the course of a day's adventure, but I actually have near the end of Eric's last Erzo campaign. The only difference here was that Dave P. did it all on paper, while I would have literally used a spreadsheet.

In any case, they now have a nice little home base which should be a solid basis for the campaign. And, I took the last 5 minutes of today's adventure to get them to the edge of the next adventure, so there's no going back and mucking with the bar more until we've had a week or two of high adventure first.

Finished off season one of Arrested Development before I went to gaming today. Quite weird to have free time Saturday morning to screw around, but that's a result of getting up early overall.

Feeling a bit at loose ends again tonight, though I think that's mostly because I'm tired. I haven't been getting enough sleep all week. I should probably think about my next reviews, or maybe do a little bit of Elf work to get myself revved up to do more of the same tomorrow, but I don't really feel like it.

I'd go watch more Arrested Development, but ... see above. Unfortunately the Netflix DVD I have out right now is less than exciting. It's the first adventure of Sapphire & Steel, an old BBC SF series, which thus far has been about as exciting as watching paint dry.

I read a synopsis of it in one of my old Dr. Who & other SF magazines, that I read about 20 years again, and it sounded thrilling at the time. The actual series ... not so much. But I want to finish off this first disk before I send it back in case I ever decide to continue with the rest of the show in some very unlikely future where all other DVDs have been destroyed.
