Sickly Daze
Apr. 21st, 2005 11:17 amWell, I was right on Sunday writing that I was getting sick. Yesterday I woke up congested and with no brain. Amazingly, I did the intelligent thing, and took the day off work, mostly sleeping and watching TV. (I tried reading a bit, and even though I'm now working on a favorite that I've read 3 or 4 times before, _The Shadow of the Torturer_, that was no dice.)
Today I'm still feeling a little dazed, but better. As my general experience is that I improve throughout the day when I'm sick (and that I'm probably days past being contagious), I've gone ahead and kept plans for our review game of _In the Shadow of the Emperor_ tonight.
Hmmm, shadows and shadows. I wonder if playing ItSotE last week encourage me to start TSotT a couple of days ago.
It's actually been a couple of years since I've even had a cold, which has been nice. Last year I'd have the occasional day when I started feeling cold-esque, but then they'd go away the next day. I'm now guessing those were some new found allergies.
I'm amazed how much slower the neurons seem to fire when you're sick. I just had a phone conversation and couldn't quite keep up with the chain of thought.
Ramble, ramble.
