Yeah, I gave up on stable and switched to unstable pretty early on. I guess it's nice that they're so stringent about promoting packages to testing/stable, but it's annoying when I need something in a new release, which is pretty often. Fortunately I haven't really run into any problems with unstable packages, but maybe you can't afford the risk there.
