Yelp-esque Reviews
Pohaku T's. Store looked much the same as it had on previous visits. However, stone washing is out and secret new technique for creating mottled shirts is in. Mottling of shirts no longer as nice as it was previously, but shirts are less likely to wear holes from rocks-in-drier technique damaging fabric. Not sure what I think of results. Bought a shirt. Will throw out old shirt when I get home that has hole in it due to stone washing.
Poipu Beach. Beach was full of tourists, sand, and salt water. In water, paddle boarders were trying to learn techniques and often went by us. Now I know how the canals in Venice feel. Some water was warm, some cool. Fishes were relatively rare. Whole beach was quite blurry, which impacts ability to recommend it. Will probably go to another beach next time, and will remember to bring prescription snorkeling mask this time.
Big Save Grocery Store. Name is misleading, unless items imported to Hawaii and sold at Little Save Grocery Store are even more expensive. Nonetheless, selection is surprisingly good when compared to Costco, and ability to buy packages less than 5 pounds in size a real plus.
Appel Evening Meal. Chicken tacos were quite tasty. Management suggested that I post Yelp review saying so, then suggested that perhaps I shouldn't, lest undesirables show up seeking service.
