Pirates #2; and Stuff
Yesterday we played the second week of Dave P's pirates campaign.
The rules continue to be an issue; someone should really read them. But Donald and I managed to mostly make sense of combat through keeping iron grips on the rulebooks throughout.
The campaign itself is off to a slow start because, well, our characters are locked up in a prison cell and we're trying to figure out how to break out. We spent much of Saturday kicking ideas back and forth. Fortunately Chris W. (Kevin's occasionally present brother) wrote down most of our ideas, else we'd have to start from scratch again when we next play.
I also spent some time this weekend revamping the reviews system on RPGnet. Now, the forums attached to the reviews at RPGnet are our current forums, not some old, antiquated system. Well, hopefully; I'll see if it works right for new reviews in the morning, though I've already converted over a tens of thousands of old forum posts.
The impetus was, as usual, spammers.
Spam and porn drive all technological development on the web.
Today: fairly relaxed. Brunch. A couple of episodes of Carnivale. Some Dance Dance Revolution.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do now. Perhaps a review. Perhaps some more reading. Perhaps sleep.
