Traders is I think one of only three games in the Alea big-box series that I have not yet played (also Fifth Avenue and Rum & Pirates). I'm not entirely sure I'll ever play Traders of Genoa as those sorts of long negotiation games just don't seem to mesh particularly well with the groups of people I play with. However, I have heard excellent reports of it from more than one person whose opinion I value, so I'm not dispensing with it.
