About the "Game Plays You" comment. I'm on the bench whether or not it's a good thing.

Lost Cities is a good example of this, where the game evolves based on the cards you draw. You don't have one "this is the way to win" strategy -- instead, you have to build your strategy on the fly. It rewards flexibility. One of the neat things is you get to see what expeditions you succeed in.

At the same time, too much of this, and you get what you describe -- you're playing stuff you don't want to play, but because those are the cards you drew.

It's interesting to see how each game handles this issue - CCG has deck building, Puerto Rico and Princes of Florence have limited resources and bidding, other games have random drawing, etc.

Or am I misreading what you're intending?
