Stormbringer #3
Ran my third Stormbringer adventure this afternoon at RPG gaming. It was an adventure pulled from a book, so there was a little less improving & a little less excitement than last time around, but things went fine.
As is my wont, I create moral dilemmas in my RPGs. This adventure, as printed, has a revelation where the players figure out that a merchant they've been dealing with is a sorcerer ... and then go deal with him appropriately. I instead revealed that there was a possibility that he might be a sorcerer, and then let the players angst about whether he was or not, as they should. They eventually hemmed and hawed enough that the sorcerer got away.
This was the first game where Kevin's brother, Chris showed up. He moved in with Kevin late last month, and Kevin said he was going to then start attending gaming with us. Four weeks later, there'd been no Chris appearance ... but he finally showed up today. Chris is considerably younger than the rest us--I'd guess 10 years younger--but is a good guy. Hopefully he'll continue showing up.
We've told Eric F., who's been gaming with us for 8 or 9 years, that he's now no longer the new guy.
I was in good spirits throughout the game, which is good because you really need to be "on" to run adventures. I was.
